According to the Vedas, female beauty is manifested on three levels:
- External attractiveness of the physical body
- Internal allure, also known as subtle beauty, which is directly related to mental energy
- Highest level – the spiritual essence of a woman
Vedic astrology identifies two main, opposite influences of planets on women. Venus is responsible for physical attractiveness and sexuality, while the Moon is responsible for subtle beauty and mental energy.
While physical beauty fades over time, mental energy increases, provided it is preserved. And it is the mentally beautiful woman who will always attract her man and keep him close.
There are two properties of subtle (mental) beauty:
- It is given to all girls at birth.
- If lost, it cannot be restored.
Therefore, a woman’s subtle beauty is her purity. In Vedic scriptures, a pure woman possesses the following qualities:
- Directness
- Openness
- Trust
- Modesty
- Fidelity
- Devotion
- Patience
- Determination
- Wisdom
Such a woman is happy in marriage and inspires her husband, bringing him luck, material prosperity, and fame. According to the Vedas, by being a faithful helper to her husband, a wife establishes a connection with God.
It is important to note that women with loose views on sex and marriage can lose their subtle beauty. Parents still try to protect their beloved daughters from the temptation of starting adult life too early. Husbands still consider qualities such as faithfulness and devotion when choosing a wife.
One of the common misconceptions among women is that they believe they can only attract a man through their sexuality. By defining themselves in this way, they attract men who confirm this perception, seeing them only as objects for physical pleasure. By exploiting their sexual attractiveness, women lose their mental beauty, which is based on purity.
